Weisshaupt Sammlung, Ulm

Another one from my home town..

not finished yet, so this is the only view right now which doesn't look like a construction site :)
it should be finished in summer, so you'll probably see some new shots of it then

yeh this style is getting a bit overdone by me ([link] or [link])
already boring?

i don't think it's boring.
But personally I prefer when photographers mention what post-processing they do to their photos before uploading.

maybe i'm wrong. maybe i'm insulting you by suggesting these photos are not raw and untouched straight from the camera. but that's the impression i got anyways. that there was some photoshop/raw processing involved?

*g* no sweat, yeah of course they're heavily post processed, I always try to get the best out of my images via the raw conversion and photoshop editing..

I just got bored to state the single steps over and over again.. ;)

here the main edits were made in about 4 different curves layers with different masks on them, one dodge/burn layer for a slight dark gradient applied to the top of the sky, a bit of a warming filter to enrich the sun's color on the building, the saturation tuned up a bit and some tiny local noise reduction to get some distracting patterns out of the glass

oh and a blurred version of the original shot as color layer applied locally via another layer mask to some edges only to get rid of some color banding.

However I tried not to get over the top with this one, sure it has the 'photoshopped to perfection' look to it but I hope it still has a quality as a photo itself and the retouching is not the main thing to look at in the end... for example I left all the grain in it to give it a bit more of a 'gritty look'. At last the worst thing done to a photo is if you look at it and you just think of the errors made with it after the fact

ah that clears it all up nicely. thanks for the indepth answer. I wouldn't expect anyone to describe each photo of theirs in that much detail. like for instance if i post-process i simply list what it was for each photo. "curves, hue/saturation, crop, levels adjustment." etc.

keep up the good work.
